Ethiopia is a major global coffee producer and the origin of Arabica coffee, known for its high-quality beans grown in shaded, traditional highland farms. It is recognized as the birthplace of Arabica coffee and is famous for producing beans with bright, complex flavors, including fruity and floral notes, often with a light-to-medium body and strong acidity. Key producing areas including Sidamo, Yirgacheffe, and Harrar, both washed (80% of production) and natural (20% of production) processing methods are used, with the choice significantly influencing the final flavor of the coffee.
